Our Veterinary Care Team
Mike - Head Veterinary Technician
"I have always been fascinated with animals. From growing up playing in dirt and cornfields, to chasing ducks and herons around the islands on the lower Susquehanna river, I have tried to spend as much time around animals as possible. They fascinated me so much that I decided to pursue a career in animals, starting with a degree in Wildlife Conservation from Juniata College, to now pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology from San Juan College. Helping animals to have a better existence, both in the wild and in the home is what drives me to do what I do."
Kelcey - Veterinary Technician
"Working with animals has always been my passion. I grew up working on a horse farm and decided that veterinary medicine was the field for me. I truly love coming to work every day. Being able to help animals and educate clients here always makes my workday a pleasure. I graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with a certification in Veterinary Assisting and I am currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology from San Juan College. I reside in Arnold with my dog, Juniper, and my horse, Style."
Terik - Veterinary Assistant
Since I was seven I knew I wanted to work with animals, and after working in a restaurant for about eight years I knew I needed a change. Coming to Hoffman Animal Hospital was one of the best decisions I’ve made and I couldn’t be a part of a better team. Everyone here is so passionate about what they do and nothing compares to seeing all the happy cats and dogs come in and connecting with their owner.
Will - Veterinary Assistant
The love that I have for animals came to me at a very young age. Having all sorts of family pets growing up allowed me to experience that special animal-human connection that made me realize that working with animals is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I got my first bit of experience working as a kennel attendant at Canine Country Club. I worked there for seven years and decided it was my time to progress further into my career working with animals. I am so happy to be working here at Hoffman Animal Hospital because not only am I doing something I am very passionate about, but I am constantly learning exciting new things.
"What I enjoy most about working at Hoffman Animal Hospital is that we have the best staff and clientele. I love the daily interaction with all of our awesome patients and their owners. Our staff is dedicated to delivering the best medical care we can in caring and compassionate environment. Our staff genuinely takes pride in our animal hospital and we are always looking for new ways to expand our knowledge to become better. "
Leigh Ann - Client Services
"I enjoy helping others and making a difference in animals lives. It's a rewarding experience to help educate clients in ways they can keep their furry friends healthy and safe. Being able to watch our patients grow up and working in an environment where clients and co-workers become friends and family makes every day meaningful."
Charity - Client Services
Charity joined our team in May 2014 when she returned to Maryland after living in England for 2 years. Charity has worked in the veterinary field for the past 9 years. Her experience ranges from small veterinary clinics to twenty four hour emergency and specialty hospitals. She currently attends Anne Arundel Community College pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, exploring new cities, writing, and spending time with her family and friends. Charity owns one cat, Tabitha, which she adopted from the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention Cruelty to Animals) when she lived in Oundle, England.
Nina - Client Services
My mom is a vet, so growing up we always had animals. From cats and snakes to various birds and fish. Whenever we found an animal in pain or distress, my mom would bring it in and nurture it back to good health. Whether animals we found outside, or our own animals, I always got to be her assistant. Which is why I have chosen this path in life. I have always wanted to take care of others and this is the perfect place to do so. I get to come to work every day and do what I can to help. Each day is a learning experience and I am excited to grow within the hospital. I reside in Annapolis with my kitty Anna and my ball python Shylah.
Dianna - Veterinary Assistant
Dianna appreciates learning about different breeds and species of animals that she treats. In her free time, Dianna cares for her own pets, one dog, Clementine, and three cats, Stevie Wonder, Free Range and Gypsy. She also teaches full-time, is pursuing a graduate degree in education administration, and volunteers at the National Zoo.
Julie - Kennel Technician
I joined the team in July 2016 as a Kennel Technician. I love working with the pets, clients and the amazing staff here at the Hospital. I spent 15 years in food service and worked as an adoption counselor for a no kill shelter in West Virginia prior to starting my career at Hoffman Animal Hospital. I am looking forward to learning all about this rewarding industry.
