Admissions
Surgery patients are admitted for procedure between
7:30 AM and 8:00 AM.
Pre-surgical Care Patients should not be fed after 10:00 PM on the night before their scheduled procedure, but may have water until they are admitted in the morning.
Currently, surgeries and dental cleanings are performed under general anesthesia each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Radiographs Admissions for radiographs or x-rays are from 7:30AM to 8:00AM on any weekday. Emergency radiographs are also provided, when indicated. Pets admitted for radiographs should not be fed breakfast that morning in case anesthesia or sedation is required. Time permitting, a discharge appointment is scheduled so the pet's owner(s) can meet with the attending veterinarian to discuss the diagnosis and view the radiographs.
Post-Surgical Care Pets discharged from the hospital after surgery or anesthetic procedures are given discharge instructions, detailing how to care for the pet during recovery.
Appointments
Appointment Types Routine exam and vaccination appointments are scheduled in 20- minute increments. Vaccine appointments include a comprehensive physical exam, integral to the care of each pet?s health. New patients are allotted 40- minute appointments. This allows the staff and veterinarian time to become acquainted with the patient's general health and personality. Time permitting, ill patients are given 40 minute appointments, to allow a thorough history and physical examination taken.
Appointments are available:
Mondays from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Thursdays from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
For our clients' convenience, we offer late night appointments on Tuesday, and drop-off appointments any weekday.
Drop Off Appointments Patients discharged from drop-off appointments are sent home with a detailed "report card". It explains the doctor's findings during the physical exam, treatments performed, medications prescribed, and any further doctor recommendations.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Walk-in patients will be seen only in emergency situations.
