Positions for which we may have openings include:
RECEPTIONISTS
Receptionists are responsible for greeting clients and patients, checking in and out for appointments, hospitalization, and boarding, answering phones, scheduling appointments, computer entry for new clients and patients, providing client education, preparing and upkeeping medical records, maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area, performing financial transactions, filing, and other various office duties. The receptionist must work well with others, like people and animals, be an excellent communicator, be organized and detail oriented. This staffmember should have basic computer skills and be trustworthy.
VETERINARY TECHNICIANS
Technicians responsibilities include but are not limited to restraining patients, assisting the doctors for exams, surgery and hospitalized patients, maintaining cleanliness of hospital, filling prescriptions, checking in patients, client education, venipuncture, maintaining patient's medical records, caring for surgical instruments, placing iv cathetars, performing dental prophies, monitoring anesthesia, administering medications and injections, performing radiographs, assisting in emergency situations and performing various in house lab testing. The technician must have excellent attention to detail, be able to self-direct and work with others, and should be comfortable with handling cats and dogs. Certification is preferred, experience is required.
Veterinary Assistants
Veterinary Assistants responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the doctors and technicians with exams, surgery, boarding and hospitilized patients, restraining patients, maintaining cleanliness of hospital, caring for surgical instruments, ensuring efficient flow of patients throught the hospital, client education, performing baths, nail trims, ear cleanings, performing radiographs, administering medications, filling prescriptions, checking in patients, client education, and assisting in emergency situations. The Assistant should be friendly, like people and animals, work well with others, have good communication skills and be able to follow directions.
Kennel Technician
Kennel technicians are responsible for caring for boarding and hospital patients. This includes but is not limited to feeding, administering medications, exercising patients, bathing, performing nail trims, cleaning kennels and boarding facility, and helping with animal restraint. This staffmember must be responsible and trustworthy and comfortable with dogs and cats. The kennel technician should be able to work weekends and holidays.
