Ease your concerns about leaving your pet behind while you’re away: Let our staff take care of him or her. We can accommodate many special care or needs your dog or cat might have. Just let us know when you make the reservation.
Veterinary technicians regularly check on the pets, and our kennel staff monitor the boarding area.
To keep all our patients as healthy as possible, we require pets that are boarding with us to have current rabies and distemper vaccinations, along with other species-specific vaccinations. We also require that most vaccinations be given at least 2 weeks before boarding. Please call us for more information.

Boarding
Hoffman Animal Hospital (HAH) is pleased to offer comprehensive boarding and medical care for our patients. Our facility is designed for the comfort and care of our boarders.
Canine Boarders are given the option of a fully-indoor dog run. Dogs boarding with their housemates have the added luxury of combining and sharing their runs. We have a large yard where
each dog is taken for exercise and socialization at least 3 times a day.
Cats are provided with spacious condominiums. Each condo has 3 “rooms” – a great room and 2 smaller bedrooms. The condos are situated in their own quiet area.
Vaccinations
Proof of vaccinations not performed at Hoffman Animal Hospital (HAH) must be provided by a licensed veterinarian in written form prior to the pet’s admission for boarding. Vaccinations due during the pet’s stay are administered by HAH.
All canine boarders must be current of the following:
- DHPP (Distemper)
- Rabies
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Negative Fecal Exam
- CIV (Canine Influenza Virus)
All feline boarders must be current of the following vaccines:
- FVRCP (Distemper)
- Rabies
General Policies
Upon arrival, all pets are evaluated by a boarding or hospital technician for fleas and any obvious health conditions. Pets with fleas are treated with Capstar, at an additional charge to the pet owner. Obvious health problems are noted, and the attending veterinarian notified. If the veterinarian deems the health issue requires treatment, all efforts are made to contact the owner. Pets with serious, untreated illness are not admitted for boarding without authorization for treatment.
