Sedated Grooming

For pets that experience high levels of stress or discomfort during grooming, we offer sedated grooming procedures. This service ensures a safe and low-stress experience for pets requiring essential grooming, such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance, particularly for those with severe matting or medical conditions that make traditional grooming difficult. Throughout the procedure, our team monitors vital signs, including heart rate, oxygen levels, and blood pressure, to ensure your pet’s safety. If you believe your pet may benefit from sedated grooming, please contact us to discuss options.

Pre-Surgical Care

Surgery intake appointment times are scheduled for each surgery patient. A technician will review the procedure, help complete authorization forms, obtain contact information and answer any questions.

We must be able to reach you while your pet is hospitalized for surgery. It is necessary for you to provide valid contact information and/or an alternate emergency contact that can make decisions regarding your pet’s care.

Follow up calls are made 24 to 72 hours after all visits, whether routine or surgical. A team member calls each client to obtain status reports on the patient’s health and well-being. We can also answer subsequent questions emerging since the appointment.

  • A team member will call you to confirm your pet’s appointment the day before.  At that time, be sure to ask any questions you might have about medications, pre-operative and/or post-operative care.
  • Please do not feed your pet after 10:00pm the night before a surgical procedure.
  • You can give water to your pet (even on the morning of the procedure).

Most medications should be given as usual. If your pet is on a cardiac or a blood pressure medication, please contact us at least two days prior to surgery to see what is recommended.
